Investment Promotion Conference in Bac Ninh Province

At the Bac Ninh Provincial Convention Center, the Conference of Investment Promotion, Presentation of Investment Policy Approval Decisions, Investor Selection Decisions, Investment Registration Certificates for major projects in the province, Commencement of Social Housing Compound have just been held.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Prime Minister; and representatives of leaders from several ministries and central agencies.

An attractive destination for investors

Following the merger, Bac Ninh Province has affirmed itself as a locality with outstanding and comprehensive economic growth, becoming a growth pole in the North and among the most developed provinces in the country. The province’s GRDP in the first six months was estimated to increase by 10.47%, reaching more than USD 9.5 billion; industry – construction and services accounted for nearly 90% of the economic structure. Bac Ninh’s export turnover has consistently ranked among the top nationwide, making significant contributions to the country’s total export value. In July alone, Bac Ninh surpassed all provinces and cities for the first time to lead the country in export turnover; within 7 months, the province achieved more than USD 48 billion in exports.

With multiple advantages, Bac Ninh currently ranks second in Vietnam in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), with more than 2,800 projects and a total investment capital of about USD 45 billion. The province has become a reliable “destination,” serving as the starting point for global corporations such as Samsung, Foxconn, Amkor, Hana Micron, Canon, Goertek, and many leading semiconductor groups worldwide.

In particular, Gia Binh International Airport, with an area of nearly 2,000 hectares, is under development and will become the second largest international airport in Vietnam in terms of both size and scale. Within the Gia Binh International Airport complex, four major transport routes are expected to be invested in to connect the airport with the urban railway system, built to a large, modern scale, helping shorten travel and cargo transport time while opening up space for modern urban development.

Bac Ninh has an abundant labor force and a network of specialized vocational training institutions that are extensively and synchronously invested in, meeting the requirements of training for key industries with high quality. The province has introduced many policies to encourage the improvement of workforce quality, taking the lead nationwide in issuing separate policies to support workforce training in the semiconductor industry. Bac Ninh is oriented to become Vietnam’s training hub for the semiconductor labor force.

Along with advantages in strategic location, development space, and workforce, Bac Ninh has been and is building a dynamic, transparent, and investor-friendly business environment, under the motto: “the development of investors is the development of the province.”

The province always accompanies investors in administrative reform, site clearance, labor recruitment, problem-solving, and providing maximum support.

Currently, Gilimex Industrial Park is implementing two key projects in Bac Ninh Province: Nghia Hung Industrial Park in Tien Luc Commune and Thuan Thanh III Industrial Park – Subzone C in Thuan Thanh Ward and Tri Qua Ward.
