Over the years, infrastructure has been invested in new construction or upgraded with many useful works such as National Highway 1A, National Highway 53, National Highway 54, National Highway 57, National Highway 80, My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway and My Thuan Bridge 1,2. Its contributing significantly to changing the appearance of the landscape and improving the spiritual and material life of residents. On the way of development, in order to soon become a decent and rich province, the characteristic strengths of Vinh Long will be effectively exploited.

• National Highway 1A: passes through the center of half of Vietnam’s provinces, connecting 4 major cities: Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
• National Highway 53: connects National Highway 1 to Mekong Delta provinces and Southeast provinces; At the same time, it is also a route linking to the coastal area and many key projects such as Duyen Hai Thermal Power Center, Dinh An Economic Zone, Long Duc Industrial Park, the flow of ships with large loads into the Hau River.
• National Highway 54: is an important traffic axis along the Hau River route which connects 3 provinces of Dong Thap, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh.
• National Highway 57: is a road connecting 2 provinces of Vinh Long and Ben Tre.
• National Highway 80: is an arterial road connecting the western provinces of the Mekong Delta with the rest of the delta.
• My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway: is a key traffic route in the North-South expressway, it helps shorten the travel time from Can Tho City to Ho Chi Minh City from 3-4 hours to about 2 hours, from Vinh Long City to Ho Chi Minh City from 3.5 hours to 2 hours.
