Grab Cyclo service is one of the meaningful cooperation activities to promote digital transformation in tourism, leveraging technology strengths to promote Hue’s heritage, culture, and cuisine.

On August 15, within the framework of a 3-year cooperation agreement with Hue City, Grab Vietnam officially launched the Grab Cyclo pilot service in the city with the coordination of the Department of Construction, Department of Tourism, Hue City Institute for Development Studies, and Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
The project aims to promote digital transformation in transportation and tourism, while supporting local residents in enhancing their digital skills.
Grab Cyclo is a service using Hue’s iconic cyclos, decorated with distinctive branding and with service quality standardized to Grab’s other mobility services. With this service, passengers can book a cyclo to visit heritage sites in Hue safely and conveniently. The service is provided by experienced cyclo drivers who have completed Grab’s mandatory training programs to serve passengers.
Cultural Preservation Accompanied by Digital Transformation
With Grab Cyclo, for the first time traditional cyclo drivers will be introduced to a digital platform to serve both tourists and local residents. Moreover, drivers can participate in digital upskilling programs, keeping pace with technology and AI through Grab’s platform.

How to use Grab Cyclo?
During the pilot phase, Grab Cyclo allows a maximum of 1 passenger per ride, with an initial duration of up to 60 minutes, extendable upon passenger request. Passengers can book Grab Cyclo via the Grab app and be picked up/dropped off at 5 locations, including:
4 locations inside the Imperial City: Opposite Hien Nhon Gate, near Doan Thi Diem Parking Lot, Nam Xuong Bastion Parking Lot, Nam Thang Bastion Parking Lot, and Toa Kham Wharf.
After the pilot phase, Grab Vietnam will continue working with local authorities to expand pick-up/drop-off points for Grab Cyclo, offering passengers more options and ensuring convenient sightseeing experiences.
To optimize the tourist experience, alongside the launch of Grab Cyclo, Grab also introduced the “Discover Hue” package, enabling users to conveniently and affordably enjoy transportation, dining, and Hue’s specialty shopping during their trip.
Previously, in February 2025, Hue City and Grab Vietnam signed a three-year cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation in transportation and tourism, while supporting local businesses, vendors, and residents in improving digital skills.
Following that, in April 2025, Grab collaborated with Hue’s Department of Tourism to present the “Hue’s Iconic Eateries” award to 26 local restaurants, honoring and preserving the culinary heritage of the Ancient Capital. In July 2025, Grab worked with Hue Institute for Development Studies and the Vietnam Women’s Union in Hue to launch the “Grab Women” initiative, creating more flexible and suitable income opportunities for women in Hue.
Following the launch of Grab Cyclo, Grab will further strengthen collaboration with local authorities to implement other practical projects aimed at improving quality of life for local communities, contributing positively to Hue’s socio-economic growth goals.
