On the morning of February 15th, 2024, Gilimex Industrial Park Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the centralized wastewater treatment plant at Thuy Phu Commune, Huong Thuy Town, Thua Thien Hue Province. The event was attended by representatives from the Provincial Party Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, the Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Le Truong Luu; the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Quy Phuong, along with leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, departments, agencies, towns, and localities.
The centralized wastewater treatment plant project in Gilimex Industrial Park, with a capacity of 7,600 m3 per day, has an investment of 130 billion VND. It is planned to be put into operation by December 2024.
The centralized wastewater treatment project in Gilimex Industrial Park is part of the comprehensive infrastructure development plan aimed at creating a modern, green, clean, and sustainable industrial park. This initiative lays the groundwork for Gilimex Industrial Park to commence operations in a synchronized manner, meeting the expectations of the Party, Government, and people of Thua Thien Hue province for socio-economic development towards industrialization and modernization as outlined in the set objectives.
The centralized wastewater treatment plant in Gilimex Industrial Park is designed and equipped with modern, safe technology. Upon completion, it will ensure the treatment of all wastewater issues for secondary investors within the industrial park, meeting the highest standards for industrial wastewater treatment.
In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, praised the efforts and determination of Gilimex Industrial Park Joint Stock Company and the collaboration of departments, agencies, and the People’s Committee of Huong Thuy town, particularly the Provincial Economic and Industrial Zone Management Board, in accelerating the implementation progress of the project.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong also urged the investor and the construction contractor to concentrate resources and closely coordinate with local authorities to organize construction, ensuring progress, construction quality, labor safety, environmental preservation, and completion of the wastewater treatment plant according to the established plan.
