Continuing a series of key projects celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day (September 2), on the morning of September 1, EON Industry Vietnam held the inauguration ceremony of Phase 1 of its helmet manufacturing plant at Gilimex Hue Industrial Park.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan – Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Council, along with members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, representatives of provincial departments, agencies, local authorities, and business partners.

Commenced in March 2024, Phase 1 of the project has been completed on a land area of more than 20,000 m², with a total floor area of over 41,000 m², creating jobs for more than 800 workers. The plant is equipped with modern facilities specializing in the production of bicycle, ski, and hockey helmets, and in this very month exported its first shipment to the international market.

Phase 2 of the project has already started, covering nearly 15,000 m² of land. This phase will include a precision plastic molding workshop and new production lines for motorcycle helmets, adding 800 more jobs. Phase 2 is scheduled to complete construction and equipment installation by December 2025, and officially commence operations in February 2026.
In addition, the company is expanding with a new specialized sports protective gear manufacturing facility covering 39,000 m², adjacent to the current production area.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong – Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee emphasized that the success of Phase 1 demonstrates the investor’s determination and the strong support of the government and related agencies. The city is committed to continuing to provide favorable conditions for effective project operation, while urging the investor to focus resources on Phase 2 to ensure timely implementation, in compliance with planning, land, and environmental regulations.
The inauguration of this project not only contributes to boosting industrial production and enhancing export capacity but also creates job opportunities and makes a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of Hue City.
