Lang Giang district is gradually emerging as a new industrial hub of Bac Giang province, attracting numerous industrial development projects associated with green urban development. According to the master plan, the total industrial park area in Lang Giang district is expected to reach approximately 1,200 hectares by 2040.
New Industrial Park Spanning Nearly 150 Hectares
On January 21, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 201/QD-TTg approving the investment policy for the Nghia Hung Industrial Park Infrastructure Development and Business Project in Bac Giang province.
According to the decision, the investor of the project is Gilimex Bac Giang Industrial Park JSC. The project’s objective is to invest in the construction and business of industrial park infrastructure.
The project covers an area of 148.68 hectares, with a total investment of VND 2,200 billion, including VND 330 billion in investor equity. The project’s operational term is 50 years from the date of investment policy approval.
The project is located in Dao My and Nghia Hung communes, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province.

A New Industrial Hub of Bac Giang Province
Lang Giang district is gradually becoming a new industrial center of Bac Giang province, attracting various industrial development projects integrated with green urban development.
In recent times, the Lang Giang district government has actively led and implemented comprehensive solutions to attract investment. Infrastructure development has been strategically focused, particularly in transportation, urban areas, and industrial parks. Many large-scale projects have been implemented and put into operation.
The district proactively promotes its investment environment, ensures efficient land clearance compensation, and strictly adheres to land allocation, leasing, and conversion regulations. Local authorities and relevant agencies publicly disclose annual land use plans. Additionally, the district regularly collaborates with the Business Association to hold dialogues between local authorities and enterprises to promptly address challenges faced by businesses, cooperatives, and investors.
Notably, the district strictly implements Government Resolution No. 105/NQ-CP, which aims to promptly remove obstacles and facilitate business operations. Furthermore, investors are urged to accelerate the construction of technical infrastructure in industrial zones, ensuring readiness to attract both domestic and international investors.
Developing Lang Giang into the Northern Economic Center of Bac Giang
Regarding planning, on August 25, 2023, the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province issued Decision No. 940/QD-UBND, approving adjustments to the regional construction planning for Lang Giang district until 2040 (scale 1/25,000), laying the foundation for infrastructure development and investment attraction.
According to the master plan, Lang Giang district is designated as the northern economic center of Bac Giang province and a key road transport hub along the Hanoi – Lang Son economic corridor. It is expected to develop into a grade-IV urban area and a future township, serving as a center for industrial and logistics development, green industry, high-quality agriculture, and sustainable urban growth. It is also envisioned as a regional hub for cultural tourism and historical heritage while maintaining economic development in conjunction with national defense and security.
By 2030, the total industrial park area in Lang Giang district is expected to reach approximately 805 hectares.
By 2040, the industrial park area in Lang Giang district is projected to expand to approximately 1,200 hectares.
Most recently, on January 10, 2025, the Interdisciplinary Appraisal Council held a meeting to review and approve the General Urban Planning Task for Lang Giang, Bac Giang province, for the period up to 2045, at a scale of 1/10,000.
The objective of this planning is to implement national, sectoral, and provincial planning strategies approved by the Prime Minister for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050. The plan aims to develop Lang Giang into a modern, sustainable, and well-integrated industrial city, driving socio-economic growth and becoming one of the province’s most dynamic industrial centers. It seeks to gradually elevate Lang Giang to grade-IV urban status and eventually a township. The plan also serves as a legal basis for further zoning and detailed planning of functional areas and investment projects.
Lang Giang’s urban area is defined as the northern economic center of Bac Giang province and a national road and railway transport hub along the Hanoi – Lang Son economic corridor. It is positioned as a key center for industrial and logistics development, high-quality agriculture, and cultural tourism. Moreover, it is planned to be a smart, green, and sustainable city with modern infrastructure, aiming for grade-IV urban status and future township recognition, while maintaining its strategic importance in national defense and security.
