On the afternoon of January 9, 2025, Gilimex Industrial Park participated in and reported at the annual conference summarizing the work of 2024 and outlining the direction and tasks for 2025, organized by the Management Board of Economic Zones – Industrial Park of Hue City.
Evaluation of 2024 Results
The conference marked a year full of efforts in the face of many challenges, yet many encouraging results were achieved, contributing to the economic and social development of Hue City and its economic zones and industrial parks.
In 2024, the Management Board successfully completed key tasks, including advising on state management policies, administrative reforms, and business support. Notably, the Board approved 12 new projects with a total registered capital of over 4.6 trillion VND and adjusted the capital for 10 projects, bringing the total newly registered investment capital in the year to 27.215 trillion VND.
To date, there are 178 active projects in the area with a total registered capital of 134.323 trillion VND. Key projects such as the Kim Long Motors Production Complex Project, Kanglongda Hue Factory, and Gilimex Industrial Park, along with the Vsico Chan May Port, continue to be monitored for progress according to schedule.
In addition, environmental management and sustainable development have been particularly emphasized. The Board has organized the evaluation of many projects and inspected the trial operations of numerous waste treatment facilities. As a result, investment projects meet all environmental standards, contributing to the creation of a green and sustainable business environment.
Direction and Tasks for 2025
In 2025, the Management Board of Economic Zones – Industrial Parks of Hue City sets goals for improving administrative procedures and attracting 8,000-10,000 billion VND in registered investment capital, a 33-35% increase compared to 2024. Key projects to focus on include Gilimex Industrial Park, the Saigon–Chan May Tariff-Free Zone, phases 2-3 of Kim Long Motor Hue, Vsico Chan May Port, and logistics centers in the Chan May area.
The Board will prioritize improving technical infrastructure, ensuring clean land availability to attract secondary investors, and strengthening environmental management while accelerating industrial park development planning. Investment promotion activities will be enhanced, assisting investors in completing procedures and projects on schedule, focusing on sustainable development and attracting key industries.
