On April 8th and 9th, 2024, the Vietnam-Taiwan Business Forum and the International Exhibition for Investment and Trade Promotion 2024 were held in collaboration with DVL IPT Investment Promotion and Trade Joint Stock Company, the World Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (WTCC), and the Taiwan Affairs Office.
The event took place at the National Convention Center, Me Tri, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi, and attracted over 2,000 delegates from 176 member associations in 72 countries worldwide. Additionally, the exhibition featured the participation of businesses involved in industrial parks, industrial clusters, warehouses, logistics, suppliers, local manufacturing facilities, distributors, and exporting enterprises nationwide.
Currently, Taiwan ranks fourth in terms of investment and fifth in terms of trade with Vietnam, with FDI reaching over $37 billion, more than double the total FDI of 27 EU countries, estimated at around $24 billion. In the current international economic and political context, Taiwanese companies are highly interested in expanding investment and business cooperation with Vietnam. The event aims to introduce and connect Vietnamese businesses, facilitating meetings and market information exchange. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen the linkages between supply and demand of goods and promote investment in industrial zones and clusters in Vietnam, with the participation of over 2,000 Taiwanese entrepreneurs worldwide.
